Alucinosis

During a move, a box containing my slide archive was left in the basement of the studio. Years later, when I tried to retrieve the photographs, I discovered that the damp had created an ecosystem of fungi and bacteria that had broken down the layers of photographic emulsion. The colours were distorted and the shapes had faded. The life I had photographed in the past had been transformed into something else.
